Golden Hour Visions: Tessa Galbreath
I really enjoy shooting during the golden hour time period. I love the softness and warmth that I am able to capture during this time of day. The photos can be moodier or calmer or cozier depending on the subject being shot. I really like the deep oranges of the light. As well, I like the rainbow effect that can be captured in the sky.
It was somewhat challenging because this time of year the length of time you can actually capture the golden hour light is very brief. If I wanted to make any camera adjustments, then I would lose precious time for using the light.
During the golden hour, I really love taking photos of trees at this time of year. The lighting brings out contrast with the bare trees and the ombre sunset in the sky. I like the crispness that I can capture of my subjects using this lighting.
The farther into golden hour you continue to photograph, the more pinks and purples there are to capture. I have always enjoyed taking photos of the natural world, and I have also always liked using the natural light of dusk to bring out different feelings in my work.
